The first time you run CliniClue you will see the CliniClue Validation form.
You will also see this form when your registration period expires or when you manually renew your registration using the menu option Help/Licence review

Ideally you should
- Register online for a free validation key which will last for 12 to 18 months
- Enter the registration key the is emailed to you
If you prefer you can start CliniClue using a Demo Mode which will allow a few days of use before you register.
Register online
When you click the register online button you will be taken to a web page where you can register as a CliniClue user. Usually your key will be sent to you within a few minutes by email.
Notes
- If for any reason you cannot register online or do not receive you key, use Demo Mode and register later.
- You can access the registration site at http://www.cliniclue.com/register
Entering a registered Validation Key
The CliniClue validation key that you receive by email when you register online looks like this:

To enter a register validation key use one of the following methods
- Quick copy and paste method (recommended)
- Copy the text from the validation email to the clipboard
- Select the entire text of the email and press Ctrl-C.
- Paste the contents of the clipboard into the User Name field on the
form.
- Place the cursor in the "User Name" field and press Ctrl-V
or
- Copy the text from the validation email to the clipboard
- Manual method
- Type your User name and Validation key in the appropriate fields on the form
After you have pasted or typed the validation key the form should look as shown below

Now review the licence conditions and confirm that you accept them by clicking the check box as shown below.

Now click the "Create licence" button.
You should see a message like the one below telling you when you licence will expire.

Click OK and the CliniClue Browser will load.
Demo mode
If you are unable to register online can enter use Demo mode to access the CliniClue Browser for a few days.
To do this click the "Demo Mode" button in the CliniClue Validation Form as shown below.

The form now looks like like the one below and prompt you to enter a short temporary validation key.

Type the four characters of the temporary validation key into right-hand box of the validation key.
- Look for the prompt identifying a four character key to be typed.
- In this example the temporary key is '1JXP' but it varies each time demo mode is used.

Now review the licence conditions and confirm that you accept them by clicking the check box as shown below.

Click OK and the CliniClue Browser will load.
- Demonstration keys are only valid for a few days.
- Registered keys are valid for between 12 and 18 months so you are strongly advised to register online (registration is free of charge).
